Employer Awards

On
the 26th of
April 2001 Geraldton Personnel celebrated their tenth
anniversary and presented their employer awards for 2001
and the decade.
Woolworths'
Geraldton store was announced as "Employer of the Year
2001".
Geraldton
Personnel's "Employer of the Decade" was presented to the
City of Geraldton Library represented by Pat Gallaher. A
GPI client has been employed at the Library for the last ten
years.
GPI also
services rural areas of the Midwest and surrounding areas,
our "Rural Employer of the Year was awarded to Woolworths
Carnarvon. Woolworths were unable to have a representative
present so Joyce Huck of GPI Carnarvon accepted the award on
their behalf.
Also
presented with an award on the day was Geraldton MLA Shane
Hill. GPI had contact with Shane in the lead up to his
election and he promised to use Geraldton Personnel for
staffing once elected. True to his word, when elected Shane
approached Geraldton Personnel and employed a school leaver
through them. Consequently, he was presented with the
inaugural GPI "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth is" Award.
Geraldton
Personnel would like to thank all employers who have
employed people with disabilities and provided their
continued support over the last ten years.
